Sunday poetry
Think
Silence. After the fact.
After the runner has slid to third.
After the gold has been ored.
After the chips have been shipped.
After the wind has blown.
After the singer has sung.
After the poet has danced.
After the mother has died,
the father, the brother, sister, sun.
After the jobs have been outsourced.
After the corporations have declared bankruptcy.
After the economy has sunk.
Silence.
Until voices rise up.
Fill the vacuum.
Occupy Wall Street.
Revive dead conversations.
Jumpstart the Republic,
Recreate Democracy,
Think. Original thought.
